Costco is looking for a hands-on Maintenance Assistant to keep its Optical Lab facility in Kitchener clean, safe, and running smoothly. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in physical work and enjoys variety throughout the day, from cleaning to light repairs and grounds upkeep.

Your responsibilities

  • Clean floors, restrooms, break rooms, and production areas according to daily schedules
  • Operate trash and cardboard compactors and manage waste disposal
  • Change light bulbs, wash windows and walls, and vacuum overhead areas
  • Assist with grounds maintenance including leaf removal, litter pickup, and snow and ice clearing
  • Perform minor repairs such as concrete floor patching and painting

Your profile

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Previous janitorial experience is a plus
  • Mechanical aptitude and good manual dexterity
  • Comfortable following strict safety and security procedures
  • For Quebec locations, French language skills are required
