Google is currently looking for a Privacy Developer II for Google Ads in Waterloo, ON, Canada. In this role, the Privacy Developer will be responsible for ensuring the Ads business operates smoothly and sustainably by prioritizing user privacy. The successful candidate will review product launches to uphold user privacy and comply with regulations such as GDPR and CCPA. They will design Ads products and services with a Privacy by Design approach.
Requirements and Necessary Skills
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 1 year of experience applying technologies and processes to mitigate risks using frameworks such as Privacy By Design.
- 1 year of experience driving decisions to maintain the privacy posture of an organization.
- Experience in Machine Learning, Generative AI, or a similar field.
- Knowledge of common regulatory frameworks such as GDPR and CCPA.
- Understanding of technical privacy issues such as cookie management and encryption.
