The successful candidate will work on critical projects that are essential to Google’s needs, with opportunities to switch teams and projects as the business continues to grow and evolve.
Responsibilities for this role include writing and testing product or system development code, participating in design reviews, reviewing code developed by other team members, contributing to documentation and educational content, and triaging product or system issues. The Senior Software Developer will be involved in designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, and enhancing software solutions.
Requirements and Necessary Skills
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
- 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, and with data structures/algorithms
- 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture
- 3 years of experience developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, and/or experience with compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field
- 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role
- Experience developing accessible technologies
