Google is seeking a Software Developer III to join the Google Workspace team in Waterloo, ON. As a Software Developer, you will work on developing next-generation technologies that cater to billions of users worldwide. You will be responsible for managing project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables, as well as designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, and enhancing software solutions. The ideal candidate should bring fresh ideas from various technical areas such as information retrieval, distributed computing, large-scale system design, networking, data storage, security, artificial intelligence, natural language processing, UI design, and mobile development.

Requirements and Necessary Skills

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting
2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms in either an academic or industry setting

Preferred qualifications:

Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields
2 years of experience with performance, large scale systems data analysis, visualization tools, and/or debugging
Experience developing accessible technologies
Proficiency in code and system health, diagnosis and resolution, and software test engineering
