Job Description
Google is seeking a Software Developer III, Infrastructure, for their Google Cloud AI team in Waterloo, ON, Canada. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of driving progress, solving complex technical problems, and mentoring junior team members. As a Software Developer III, you will have deep expertise and applied knowledge within the relevant area of infrastructure development.
Requirements and Necessary Skills
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience with software development in C++ programming language or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting.
- 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms in either an academic or industry setting.
- 2 years of experience with developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, and/or experience with compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
- 2 years of experience with performance, large scale systems data analysis, visualization tools, and/or debugging.
- Experience developing accessible technologies.
- Proficiency in code and system health, diagnosis and resolution, and software test development.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for writing product or system development code, participating in design reviews, reviewing code developed by other team members, contributing to documentation, and triaging product or system issues.
