Job Description
Google is currently looking for a Staff Software Developer, Front End, Applied AI to join their team in either Waterloo, ON, Canada, or Toronto, ON, Canada. The ideal candidate will have advanced experience owning outcomes and decision-making, solving ambiguous problems, and influencing stakeholders, with deep expertise in the domain of Applied AI.
Requirements and Necessary Skills
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
- 8 years of experience in software development and data structures/algorithms
- 5 years of experience with front-end frameworks, full-stack development, or API development
- 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products, and 3 years of experience with software design and architecture
- Experience with Large Language Models, NLP, or Generative AI
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
- 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional or cross-business projects
- 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction
