Cake Decorator

Costco Wholesale Canada is looking for a skilled Cake Decorator to join the bakery team at our Kitchener warehouse. In this hands-on role, you'll bring creativity and precision to every cake, ensuring each order meets our members' expectations for quality and presentation.

Your responsibilities

  • Slice, fill, and frost half-sheet cakes using spatulas and slicing tools
  • Pipe borders, figures, and personalized messages using pastry bags following Costco's formulas and patterns
  • Review member special orders to select appropriate flavors, colors, and designs, contacting members directly if clarification is needed
  • Prepare cheesecakes and other bakery items, including applying toppings and garnishes
  • Assemble and box finished cakes, maintaining a clean and organized decorating station

Your profile

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Food Safety Certification Level 1 required on your first day
  • Prior cake decorating experience is an asset and will be given preference
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
  • Friendly, service-oriented approach when interacting with members
