Costco Wholesale Canada is looking for a Food Service Assistant to join the food court team at our Kitchener warehouse. This hands-on role blends food preparation, customer service, and kitchen maintenance to keep members fed and happy throughout the day.

Your responsibilities

  • Prepare hot food items such as pizzas and hot dogs, including shaping, topping, and baking
  • Take phone and counter orders, ring up sales, and handle cash transactions accurately
  • Serve dessert and drink items like frozen yogurt, lattes, and smoothies while maintaining dispensing machines
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, work surfaces, dining areas, and floors
  • Restock ingredients and supplies from the warehouse to kitchen and self-serve areas

Your profile

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Food Safety Certification Level 1 required on the first day of the role
  • No prior experience necessary — full training provided
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment with attention to cleanliness and safety standards
