We are recruiting a highly specialist clinical psychologist for the Health in Mind service, focusing on paediatric and neonatal intensive care units and the KIDSNTS transport service. The role involves providing psychological leadership within a dynamic team dedicated to therapeutic expertise, leadership, education, and service development.

Main Duties of the Job

  • Provide a specialized Clinical Psychology service to Paediatric Critical Care (PCC), KIDSNTS, and Neonatal Intensive Care (NICU).
  • Deliver psychological assessment and interventions to patients, families, and staff.
  • Lead the development of psychologically informed environments in PICU and NICU.
  • Support strategies for service development within the Health in Mind team and the wider Trust.

Person Specification

Qualifications

  • Essential: Clinical Psychology Doctorate, HCPC Practitioner Psychologist Status
  • Desirable: Leadership/management training, post-qualification training in relevant clinical populations

Experience

  • Essential: Experience working with children/adolescents and providing psychological assessment and treatment across various settings.
  • Desirable: Experience working in acute physical health settings.

Professional Knowledge and Skills

  • Essential: Understanding of trauma-informed care, decision-making under pressure, and communication skills.
  • Desirable: Experience with governance and using IT for managing reports.
