Main Duties

  • Work within a dynamic team at York Hospital in 10 PA posts.
  • Potential to increase to 12 PA subject to agreement with Clinical Director.
  • Participate in daily ward rounds and provide clinical leadership in Acute Medical Units and Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC).
  • Engage in specialty care for inpatients and participate in the General Medicine on-call rota.
  • Encourage applications from those with an interest in Emergency Medicine in-reach.

Person Specification

  • Essential Qualifications: GMC registration, entry on the GMC Specialist Register in Emergency or Acute Medicine, MRCP, and valid ALS certificate.
  • Desirable Qualifications: MD or equivalent.
  • Clinical Experience: Proven management of acute medical inpatients and knowledge of clinical governance.
  • Teaching Experience: Experience in teaching undergraduates and supervising trainees.
  • Leadership: Willingness to take on leadership roles and contribute to change management agendas.
