This privacy policy explains what personal data jobflis processes, for what purpose, and what rights users can exercise under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable law.
Data controller
- Controller: Jobflis
- Address: 98-32 Northfield Rd, Coventry, United Kingdom
- Contact email: [email protected]
Data we process
jobflis processes the following categories of data:
- Email address, only if a user voluntarily subscribes to job alerts.
- Technical browsing data: IP address, device and browser type, pages visited, country of access and usage statistics, collected automatically during the visit.
Purposes of processing
Data is used to: manage delivery of job alert emails to subscribers; measure use of the site and improve its content and performance; and display advertising, including personalised advertising, through external providers.
Legal basis
Processing of the email address for alerts is based on the user's consent, given at the time of subscribing. Processing of technical browsing data for measurement and advertising purposes is based on the user's consent through the site's cookie settings and, subsidiarily, on the owner's legitimate interest in maintaining and improving the service.
Recipients of data
Data may be shared with providers acting on the owner's behalf: advertising providers, including Google AdSense, which may use identifiers and cookies to display relevant ads; and email delivery providers used to manage job alerts. These providers act as data processors or, in the case of advertising, may also act as independent controllers under their own policies.
Retention period
Subscription data is kept for as long as the user's alert subscription remains active and is deleted or anonymised after unsubscribing. Technical browsing data is kept only for as long as strictly necessary for measurement and advertising purposes, according to each provider's settings. jobflis does not keep browsing data for longer than needed to fulfil these purposes.
Your rights
Any user can exercise their rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing and data portability, and can withdraw consent at any time, by writing to [email protected]. Users also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data protection authority if they believe their rights have not been respected.
