Mount Chambers offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced practice nurse to join their team on a part-time basis, working 25-30 hours per week over three days.
Main Duties
- Conducting health assessments and administering medication and treatments.
- Performing diagnostic tests and providing health interventions tailored to individual patient needs.
- Promoting general health and well-being through person-centred care plans.
- Managing long-term conditions in accordance with national and local policies.
- Assisting patients in complex, urgent, or emergency situations, including providing emergency care.
- Supporting women’s health needs, including sexual health and contraception.
- Implementing vaccination and immunisation programmes for adults and children.
- Providing opportunistic wound care and conducting hypertension reviews.
- Running asthma clinics and health checks for new patients.
- Performing phlebotomy services.

We are a supportive practice located in Braintree, consisting of a team that includes GP partners, salaried GPs, nurse practitioners, practice nurses, and HCAs. We collaborate closely with Braintree PCN to enhance our service provision.

Person Specification
Experience:
- Clinical skills in treatment room consultation, phlebotomy, ECG recording, and management of long-term conditions.
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.
- Understanding of current issues in nursing and the NHS.
Qualifications:
- A relevant nursing degree and current NMC registration with an active PIN.
- Completion of the Fundamentals of Practice Nursing course or equivalent qualifications.
- Competence to carry out asthma, COPD, and diabetes clinics and reviews.
