Consultant Psychiatrist Position – Salary: £105,504 to £139,882 per annum

Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust is looking for a Consultant Psychiatrist for the General Adult Intensive Outreach Team. This role focuses on working within a multi-disciplinary team at the Fieldhead Business Centre in Bradford, aiming for comprehensive community mental health services tailored to local population needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess new referrals and attend formulation meetings.
  • Conduct medical reviews as agreed in multi-disciplinary meetings.
  • Participate in daily huddles and home visits when necessary.
  • Engage in various meetings including case reviews, leadership, management, and academic discussions.
  • Provide advice to GPs and other teams, occasionally attending hospitals if required.
  • Prepare reports and attend mental health tribunals for relevant patients.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants should hold a higher qualification in psychiatry and must be eligible for inclusion on the GMC’s Specialist Register or already included. Experience in General Adult Psychiatry and teaching at various levels is essential. Candidates should also demonstrate effective leadership and communication skills.

Essential Requirements

  • Experience in General Adult Psychiatry.
  • Certificate of Completion of Training in General Adult Psychiatry or equivalent.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with service users and multidisciplinary teams.

Desirable Qualifications

  • MRCPsych or equivalent.
  • Experience in service development or research.
