Amazon is looking for a driven Area Manager II to join the fulfillment operations team in Mississauga. In this role, you will lead hourly associates on the shop floor, ensuring safety, quality, and delivery targets are met while customer orders move smoothly through the fulfillment network.
Your responsibilities
- Guide, coach, and motivate a team of hourly associates during shifts
- Oversee safety, quality, productivity, and on-time delivery commitments
- Partner with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, and HR teams to reach operational goals
- Diagnose performance gaps using data and lead process improvement initiatives
- Perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 49 pounds, standing or walking for extended shifts, and working in varying temperatures
Your profile
- At least 2 years of experience managing employees and performance
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of internal Amazon experience
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends, nights, and holidays
- Experience with performance metrics or process improvement methods such as Lean Six Sigma is a plus
- Background managing larger teams of 50 or more is an advantage
- Strong communication and customer-service orientation
What Amazon offers you
