Amazon's Ordering team is looking for a Software Development Engineer II to help power the retail ordering workflow that serves millions of customers worldwide. Your responsibilities

  • Design and architect scalable, reliable solutions for new and existing ordering systems
  • Own software systems end to end, from initial design through deployment and operations
  • Apply strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming to solve large-scale computing challenges
  • Collaborate within the eCommerce services group to influence technical direction affecting hundreds of millions of customers
  • Contribute across the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, and testing

Your profile

  • At least 3 years of professional, non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems
  • At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language
  • Experience with the full software development lifecycle, including source control, build processes, and operations, is a plus
  • A bachelor's degree in computer science or an equivalent field is preferred
