Costco Wholesale in Kitchener is looking for a Cashier Assistant to join the front-end team. This role is all about keeping the checkout area running smoothly while delivering friendly, efficient service to every member who walks through the door.

Your responsibilities

  • Greet members, help load orders onto the conveyor belt, and confirm packing preferences
  • Pack member orders into boxes and transfer them to carts or flatbeds for cashiers
  • Fetch merchandise, boxes, register supplies, and item numbers to keep checkout lines moving
  • Keep the register area and front-end space clean, addressing spills and hazards right away
  • Retrieve shopping carts from the parking lot and keep the lot area tidy

Your profile

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Comfortable providing attentive, courteous service to members
  • Able to follow safety and security procedures consistently
  • Willing to assist with opening and closing duties, including operating a trash compactor/cardboard baler
  • For Quebec locations, French language skills (oral and written) are required
