Costco is looking for a vigilant and detail-oriented Loss Prevention Clerk to help safeguard company assets at our Kitchener warehouse. This role is essential in maintaining a safe shopping environment while minimizing theft and shrinkage.

Your responsibilities

  • Patrol the warehouse and its perimeter to identify safety and security concerns
  • Monitor, detect, and intervene with shoplifters, including detaining and interviewing suspects when necessary
  • Identify and report suspected internal theft to management for further investigation
  • Compile detailed reports for internal review and potential legal proceedings
  • Appear in court to provide testimony related to theft investigations when required

Your profile

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Valid Loss Prevention license as mandated by provincial regulations
  • Prior experience in loss prevention is an asset
  • Solid understanding of relevant Canadian legislation, including the Criminal Code, Charter of Rights and Freedoms, and privacy laws
  • Strong communication, observation, and problem-solving abilities
