Costco Wholesale is looking for a Member Service Assistant to join the team at its Kitchener, ON warehouse. This front-line role is all about creating a safe, welcoming environment for members from the moment they arrive until they leave with their purchases.

Your responsibilities

  • Greet members warmly at the entrance, verify membership cards, and track entry counts using a handheld counter
  • Carry out hourly safety and security walkthroughs of the warehouse and perimeter, both on foot and by vehicle, logging results on inspection forms
  • Monitor warehouse access points, oversee armored transport pickups discreetly, and check bags and personal items at the exit
  • Verify member receipts against merchandise at checkout, resolve discrepancies quickly, and mark receipts before thanking members
  • Support after-hours closing procedures, including watching exit doors and communicating status via two-way radio

Your profile

  • A high school diploma or GED is preferred
  • A valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle are required, since parts of the role involve perimeter security checks by car
  • No prior experience is necessary — full training is provided
  • Strong interpersonal skills to greet and assist members with a friendly, attentive attitude
  • Comfort walking, standing, and moving around the warehouse throughout the shift
