Costco is looking for an Optical Student to join the optical department at our Kitchener warehouse. This entry-level role is perfect for someone eager to learn the fundamentals of eyewear retail while providing excellent service to our members.

Your responsibilities

  • Help members select eyeglass frames and lens options that suit their needs
  • Process sales transactions, handle cash, cheques, and card payments accurately
  • Fit and adjust eyeglasses using proper techniques under the supervision of a licensed optician, where permitted by provincial law
  • Place orders for equipment, merchandise, and supplies through the computer system
  • Stock shelves, maintain department cleanliness, and support general warehouse tasks as needed

Your profile

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Current provincial optical license required, along with registration with the applicable regulatory college
  • No prior experience necessary — this is a great opportunity to build skills in the optical field
