About the Role

Join Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust as a Specialist Clinical Pharmacist focused on cancer and aseptic services. You will deliver comprehensive clinical pharmacy support across oncology and haematology wards, day units, and cancer outpatient services at Wycombe and Stoke Mandeville Hospitals. This is a unique opportunity to shape medicines management in specialist cancer care while supporting both patients and clinical teams.

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver clinical pharmacy services across cancer directorates including haematology, oncology, paediatric oncology, and hospice settings
  • Verify prescriptions with accuracy and timeliness, check dispensed medicines, and manage medicines-related risks in line with Trust policies
  • Provide specialist patient education on treatment regimens, medication adherence, and address clinical queries to build patient confidence
  • Support the aseptic unit manager on a rotating basis and deputise for the Advanced Pharmacist as needed
  • Maintain detailed intervention records, monitor medicine use trends, and achieve proficiency in chemotherapy management systems such as BOPA and Aria

Your Profile

  • Current GPhC registration as a pharmacist
  • Proven experience in oncology and haematology pharmacy practice
  • Competence in chemotherapy and aseptic preparation techniques
  • Ability to counsel patients and deliver clinical education effectively
  • Experience supporting or leading pharmacy teams
