Dollarama is looking for a motivated and detail-driven Assistant Buyer (Planner) to join its Buying team in Mont-Royal. This is a great opportunity to start a long-term career in retail merchandising and planning, working alongside a Buyer to help shape product categories that reach customers nationwide.

Your responsibilities

  • Support the Buyer in developing and rolling out category strategies
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to guide merchandising choices
  • Contribute to product development and item selection processes
  • Manage article creation and maintain accurate item setup
  • Track purchase orders and coordinate with vendors to ensure timely deliveries

You will also review product samples for quality and compliance, take part in buyer meetings and vendor presentations, and collaborate with cross-functional teams on daily operations.

Your profile

  • Diploma, DEC, AEC, or Bachelor's degree in Buying, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field
  • One to two years of relevant experience, retail experience is a plus
  • Strong analytical skills with close attention to detail
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Solid communication skills and a team-oriented approach
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and confident handling data
  • Genuine interest in building a career in retail buying and merchandising
