Costco Wholesale is looking for a skilled Baker to join the bakery team at our Kitchener, ON warehouse. In this hands-on role, you will prepare and bake bakery products in high volume, following Costco's proven formulas and quality standards while working with industrial-scale equipment.

Your responsibilities

  • Measure, combine, and adjust large batches of ingredients using Costco formulas and a calculator for yield changes
  • Operate power equipment such as dough rollers, muffin depositors, crust machines, and power mixers to prepare batter, frosting, and fillings
  • Roll, cut, and shape dough for breads and pastries, then transfer raw product to proofing areas
  • Bake goods in large ovens, monitor baking times, and move finished products to cooling racks
  • Maintain sanitation standards, monitor temperatures and pull dates, and follow health and safety codes

Your profile

  • Previous experience working as a baker
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Food Safety Certification Level 1 required on your first day in the role
  • Ability to follow production standards for consistent quality and provide friendly, prompt service to members
  • Willingness to assist with other bakery or warehouse tasks as needed
